Operations Manager - MEP Engineer with Civil Knowledge - Construction and Maintenance Field
- Lead and supervise project managers, engineers, site supervisors, and other technical staff.
- Ensure effective workforce management, assigning roles and responsibilities efficiently.
- Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks and site operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of the technical team and provide training for skill development.
- Manage contracts, agreements, and legal documentation related to the projects.
- Address any issues that arise during construction, finding practical solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation for audits and compliance.
- Oversee planning, execution, and completion of projects within deadlines and budgets.
- Develop strategies to optimize project efficiency, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Conduct regular project reviews to monitor progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective measures.
- Handle negotiations and resolve project-related conflicts.
- Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Oversee and manage all phases of construction and maintenance projects, from planning and design to execution and completion.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Oversee the preparation of engineering reports, proposals, and documentation for regulatory approvals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the team and on job sites.
- Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and updates to management
- Problem Solving: address any issues that arise during construction, finding effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
- Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
- Hire and supervise technicians during installations, repairs, or maintenance (electricians, plumbers, AC Technicians, etc.)
- Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
- Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Participate in coordinaton of projects (e.g. renovations)
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
Requirement:
- Proven UAE experience as MEP Manager or similar role
- Bachelors in Mechanical and Electrical
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
- Knowledge of Fire and safety will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the plumbing trade, skills in the installation, repair & maintenance of all types of plumbing work.
- Performs skilled A/C control maintenance work in the repair, installation and alteration of controls for refrigeration, air conditioning.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting sliding doors, gate barriers MV panel, SMB & DP panels.
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
- Knowledge in Autocad
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities
- An eye for detail
- Computer savvy
