About the Role – Operator: Asset
We are seeking a skilled Operator - Asset to ensure the safe and reliable movement of mobile fleet, equipment, and plant. This role also involves performing preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Movement: Safely and reliably move company equipment, plant, and mobile fleet as directed.
- Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all relevant procedures, statutory requirements, and codes.
- Risk Management: Assess risks associated with operations and maintenance, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations, production, engineering teams, and contractors to ensure plant reliability and resolve technical issues.
What You Will Bring
- Technical Expertise: Strong practical knowledge of auto-mechanical, auto-electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty equipment operation and maintenance. (Auto-Electrical experience is a plus.)
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Competent in using computer systems for reporting.
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma: Diploma or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
- Vocational Training: National Certificates (NC1 and NC2) or equivalent in Industrial Maintenance or related trades.
