Responsibilities

  • Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations, capturing ophthalmic findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans with accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring all patient information is complete, accurate, and up-to-date in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist ophthalmologists by preparing documentation for patient visits, including history of present illness, ocular assessments, and procedural notes
  • Support the medical team by verifying patient information, updating records, and ensuring proper organization of medical documentation

Experience

  • Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in medical transcription and medical documentation processes
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology and anatomy enhances accuracy in documentation
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools is essential
  • Familiarity with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance standards is required
  • Strong typing skills with attention to detail to ensure precise recordkeeping

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
