Ophthalmic Technician/Front Office

Responsibilities
- Assist optometrists in conducting preliminary tests on patients, such as visual acuity and color vision tests.
- Prepare examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary equipment.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.
- Utilize EMR systems to update patient records accurately.
- Support optical sales by recommending appropriate frames and lenses based on prescription and style preferences.
- Collaborate with the front desk to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.

Qualifications
- Ophthalmology and medical office experience
- Knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and anatomy
- Patient care skills and familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in intake procedures and taking vital signs
- Experience with aseptic technique and optical practices
- Familiarity with Epic and EMR systems
- Retail sales and front desk experience
- Knowledge of medical records, coding, billing, and pediatrics

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
