Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Ophthalmologist to join our staff.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Join an established group of 6 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists
- Current need is for high volume cataract surgeon-general ophthalmologist
- Currently there are specialists in surgical and medical retina, cornea, pediatrics and glaucoma Sub-specialty interest in glaucoma, oculoplastics, cornea and cataract surgery would be welcome
- The support staff is well trained and experienced in both the clinic and operating room
- On call is every 6th weekend and rarely busy
- Salary Range: $433,000 – $525,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
- Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
- Residency Stipend up to $60,000 for up to 18 months prior to graduation
- Sign on Bonus up to $100,000.
