Optical Delivery Engineer

Huawei is hiring an Optical Delivery Engineer to support the delivery and technical execution of transmission network projects across Pakistan.

This role involves end-to-end responsibility for optical network project delivery , including commissioning, troubleshooting, customer engagement, and pre-sales support for Huawei transmission solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support delivery of transmission network projects (PTN / SDH / DWDM / OTN)
• Act as technical owner / delivery engineer for project execution
• Guide subcontractors and supervisors in hardware & software commissioning
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project delivery
• Ensure successful, high-quality end-to-end project delivery
• Engage with customers to understand network challenges and identify pain points & opportunities
• Provide insights and propose optimization or expansion solutions
• Support installed base operations and continuous improvement
• Provide pre-sales technical support for key optical projects
• Collaborate with cross-domain teams ( Datacom / Wireless / Core / IT / Microwave )

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Huawei transmission products and optical technologies
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in transmission network engineering, delivery, or maintenance
• Hands-on experience in:
• PTN
• SDH
• DWDM
• OTN
• Solid understanding of L2 / L3 networking fundamentals
• Experience in network planning, design, testing, and optimization
• Strong customer communication and coordination skills
• High learning agility and ability to deliver in fast-paced environments

Preferred

• HCIE / CCIE certification
• Experience in telecom project delivery environments
