Job Purpose:

• This role ensures the high availability and performance of the nationwide Core Transmission (IP/MPLS) network through design, implementation, operations, and proactive monitoring. It involves solution design, implementation and Level 3 support for corporate business services. Coordination with vendors and regional teams for deployments, upgrades, and emergencies, as well as maintaining security, documentation, and compliance. The position also oversees preventive maintenance, network migrations, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver optimized and reliable connectivity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure end-to-end support for corporate business products, including solution design provisioning, and after-sales support (Level 3). Training and grooming of corporate after sales NOC.
• To ensure core Transmission (IP MPLS) network availability at 99.999%. Taking respective measures to maintain it.
• Providing support to regional teams for Core Transmission (IP MPLS core) network
• Design, implement, and optimize complex enterprise/service provider networks.
• To monitor vital core transmission network KPIs and perform routine quality testing to identify any issue followed by permanent resolution. Responsible for ensuring that vital KPIs are within the required threshold values.
• To co-ordinate with relevant teams and implement new core Transmission network entity provided that all relevant checks are done including comprehensive HAT/PAT.
• To keep record of updated nationwide core connectivity network data and relative documentation etc.
• To perform health checks and ensure that routines for corrective and preventive maintenance are timely and precisely done.
• To co-ordinate with vendor & regions for emergency situation handling. To ensure that emergency plan is referred before engaging the vendor.
• Network swap of existing Network with new evolved technologies.
• LLD review and MOP finalizations and approval for major network cutovers & system up gradations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud, security, systems) on integrated solutions
• Network Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance service configurations and troubleshooting of IP MPLS Networks
• Acceptance procedures reconciliation of Core transmission entities.
• Maintain Nodes visibility on Huawei NMS and other 3rd Party NMS.
• Ensure Security baseline for all network nodes and close coordination with Information security team for related process implementation.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

• Minimum of Bachelors Degree is required.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in datacom networks.

Skills – Job Specific:

• Hands on experience of Huawei NE40X-A, S12700, S9300, E8000, E9000/ZTE/Cisco datacom nodes.
• In depth knowledge of BGP, MPLS, IGPs, QoS and layer-2 and layer-3 terminologies.
• Must have ISP experience and knowledge about internet of things, Cloud implementation, CDNs, DPI etc.
• Knowledge of transmission network, PTN, OTN, Microwave, Core transmission network performance parameters and their interpretation and use.
• Routing, Switching, DCN planning, Ethernet, Configurations, Datacom NMS
• Good Knowledge of Telecom Networks Technologies 2G/3G/4G
• Knowledge & understanding of VAS, PS Core, CS Core, and OCS network elements.
• Knowledge of network implementation/integration processes.
• Strong experience in network security (firewalls, VPN, IPS/IDS, AAA)
