Optical Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end setup of optical shop operations, policies, and workflows
• Oversee daily operations once launched, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability
• Recruit, train, and manage store staff including opticians and sales teams
• Ensure full compliance with MoPH regulations and local healthcare requirements
• Establish inventory systems for frames, lenses, consumables, and lab coordination
• Manage supplier relationships, pricing, and procurement negotiations
• Monitor sales performance, costs, and KPIs; implement corrective and growth strategies
• Drive customer experience standards and handle escalated customer issues
• Support marketing launches, promotions, and brand positioning initiatives
• Prepare operational reports, budgets, and forecasts for ownership/management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in optical or healthcare retail operations
• Proven experience in startup, new branch setup, or business launch environments
• Strong understanding of optical workflows, dispensing, inventory, and compliance
• Experience in Qatar or the GCC is highly preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
