👩 👨 Qualifications

• Min 5 years of experience in ISP/Telecom Operators
• Deep knowledge and hands on experience in DWDM technologies
• Experience in Fixed Transport Network including IP/MPLS or L2 communication technologies
• Good knowledge of industry protocols including IP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VRRP, VLANs, Spanning tree, 802.1q trunking and class/service standards preffered
• Broad understanding of optical theory, transport technologies and the operation of optical transport systems (including SONET, SDH, DWDM, OTN)
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work and learn independently
• Familiarity with fiber infrastructure and optical transmission
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting of vendor (ZTE, Ekinops, etc.) equipment may be preferred.

💻 Job Description

• Participate and support on activities of transport network operations in IP/MPLS ring optimization projects
• Responsible of operation of Turknet’s DWDM network
• Analyze, diagnose and correct Network hardware and/or software problems associated with the delivery of data transport to minimize network downtime
• Implement Network maintenance activities, create and execute MOPs
• Analysis of optical parameters (OSNR, CD, PMD,FEC etc.)
• Coordination with field teams and root-cause analysis of customer outages
• Track open issues with vendors to resolution and provide regular readouts on open vendor issues and recommendations for upgrades or removal/replacement of vendor technologies
• Monitor and update the software and hardware levels of the technical systems and devices for which it is responsible
• Maintaine and update DWDM management systems, including backup of Network element configurations, graphing, logging and alarming
• Responsible for supporting and cross-training Network engineers and NOC technicians, compiling training documentation and delivering training courses to technicians
• Create and update Network documentation (procedures or reports) and Network drawings
