We are seeking a licensed and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough eye exams using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Diagnose eye-related conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal disorders.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications for eye conditions.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries (e.g., LASIK, cataract).
- Educate patients on proper eye care, hygiene, and preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other medical professionals when advanced care is needed.
- Recommend and fit specialty lenses (e.g., bifocal, progressive, sports).
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optometry and eye care.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry.
- Valid state optometry license and current board certification.
- Proven experience in clinical optometry (new graduates welcome in some settings).
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic equipment and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
