Optometrist

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and patient-focused Optometrist with 2–4 years of clinical experience. The ideal candidate will examine patients’ eyes, diagnose vision problems, and prescribe corrective lenses or treatment as needed. You should be comfortable working independently while providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations
• Diagnose vision problems and eye conditions
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications when required
• Detect signs of eye diseases (e.g., glaucoma, cataracts) and refer patients to specialists when necessary
• Educate patients on proper eye care and hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure clinic equipment is properly used and maintained
• Provide excellent customer service and build patient relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Doctor of Optometry degree (OD)
• Valid state/professional license to practice
• 2–4 years of relevant clinical experience
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment
• Knowledge of contact lens fitting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
