Oracle HCM Lead (Oracle EBS)

Role Overview:

The Oracle HCM Team Leader will be responsible for leading end-to-end Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Human Capital Management implementations, overseeing solution design, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality delivery across all HCM modules. The ideal candidate is a hands-on functional expert with strong leadership, communication, and deep functional expertise in Core HR, Payroll, Self-Service HR, Learning Management, and Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Conduct detailed requirements-gathering workshops with business users

  • Analyze current HR processes and translate requirements into functional specifications

  • Identify gaps and propose best-practice solutions aligned with Oracle EBS HCM capabilities

Solution Design & Documentation

  • Prepare high-quality functional documentation, including:

    • Functional Design Documents (FDDs)

    • Setup documents

    • BR100s and MD50s

    • Future-state process flows

  • Lead solution design workshops and obtain business sign-off

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the HCM functional team during implementations, upgrades, and support cycles

  • Assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure milestones and timelines are met

  • Provide functional leadership across multi-module HCM projects

Implementation & Functional Expertise

  • Deliver and support at least six (6) full-cycle Oracle EBS HCM implementations

  • Provide hands-on configuration and expert guidance across:

    • Core HR

    • Oracle Payroll

    • Self Service HR (SSHR)

    • Oracle Learning Management (OLM)

    • iRecruitment / Recruiting

    • Oracle HCM Mobile Applications

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Serve as the primary functional point of contact for HR, IT, and leadership teams

  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans effectively

  • Build strong working relationships with business and technical stakeholders

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing

  • Develop and review test scripts and scenarios

  • Ensure timely resolution of functional defects and issues

Training, Knowledge Transfer & Support

  • Conduct end-user training sessions and prepare user manuals and training materials

  • Facilitate effective knowledge transfer to business and support teams

  • Provide post-go-live hypercare support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system stability


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8–12 years of experience working with Oracle EBS HCM applications

  • Minimum 6 full-cycle Oracle EBS HCM implementations, with strong involvement across requirements, design, testing, and go-live

  • Deep functional expertise in:

    • Payroll

    • Core HR

    • HR Self Service

    • Learning Management

    • Recruiting

  • Strong experience with Oracle HCM mobile applications

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, multi-module HCM projects

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills

  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with integrations between Oracle HCM and:

    • Finance modules

    • SCM modules

    • External third-party systems

  • Exposure to support models, upgrades, and global rollouts
