About the Role:

Job Title: Oracle-Based PeopleSoft DBA

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Oracle-Based PeopleSoft DBA to join a fast-paced, advanced technical environment leveraging leading-edge technologies.
• The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database tuning, querying, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting, with the ability to support mission-critical enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and support Oracle databases in a PeopleSoft environment.
• Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Manage database upgrades, patches, backups, recovery, and migrations.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and scripts.
• Support integrations with AWS cloud infrastructure and data platforms.
• Work with MySQL and enterprise Data Lake environments.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and support financial audit requirements.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Leverage modern AI tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency and automation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration.
• Expertise in PeopleSoft DBA support and administration.
• Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Knowledge of MySQL databases.
• Experience working with Data Lake architectures.
• Understanding of SOX compliance and financial audit processes.
• Exposure to AI/LLM technologies and tools such as Windsurf, Claude, Gemini, and GitHub Copilot.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in enterprise or financial services environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability production setting.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving mindset.

Location: Richmond, VA or McLean, VA or Plano, TX or New York, NY or Chicago, IL (Hybrid role)

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual [salary/hourly rate] for this position is between [$100,000– 120,000 annually]/[$60.00- $70.00 per hour]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
