Job Purpose:

The Oracle Utilities CCB Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of the Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) environment. The role ensures the system runs efficiently, securely, and with high availability, supporting both functional and technical teams during implementation and operations.

Requirements

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Utilities CCB environments (Development, Test, and Production).
  • Manage application servers (Oracle WebLogic) and database connections.
  • Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Manage deployment activities, patches, upgrades, and environment refreshes.
  • Ensure system security, user access management, and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with DBA and Infrastructure teams for database and OS-level activities.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, JVM health, and logs.
  • Perform backup and recovery procedures for application environments.
  • Provide technical support during go-live, testing, and production incidents.
  • Maintain environment documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience administering Oracle Utilities CCB or other Oracle Utilities applications.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Oracle WebLogic Server (installation, configuration, and tuning)
    • Oracle Database (basic DBA knowledge and connectivity)
    • UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting
  • Knowledge of Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) architecture.
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and performance analysis.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.) is a plus.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Oracle Certified Professional: WebLogic Server / Oracle Utilities certification.
  • Experience supporting large-scale utility implementations (Electricity, Water, Gas).
  • Exposure to environments integrating CCB with other Oracle Utilities applications (MDM, SOM).
