Order Processing Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Processor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the order fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer orders. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and logistics to optimize our operations effectively.

Duties

• Process customer orders efficiently and accurately using our Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Collaborate with various departments including purchasing, inventory management, and logistics to ensure seamless order fulfillment
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends and improve order processing efficiency
• Manage inventory control and stock levels to meet demand planning requirements
• Utilize tools such as SQL and Tableau for data collection and reporting
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with transportation management systems
• Engage in supplier management and vendor negotiations to optimize procurement processes
• Implement process improvements to enhance order accuracy and reduce lead times
• Assist in freight management, including 3PL coordination and transportation planning
• Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and inventory levels

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or logistics
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
• Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL and experience using Tableau for reporting
• Knowledge of materials handling, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes
• Excellent negotiation skills for vendor management and procurement activities
• Experience with freight logistics, shipping & receiving processes, and transportation management systems
• Ability to perform root cause analysis for process improvement initiatives
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for understanding equipment used in warehouse operations
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
