Your Responsibilities

A key milestone on this journey has been the globalization of the People Function and with it the creation of an Organizational Development (OD) capability, which is also a reframe for Lockton. Historically, the organization has had more of a traditional L&D focus. We’re broadening that remit strategically, to join the dots for the business, between Talent, Leadership & Culture - globally. Bringing a stronger commercial lens to how we grow & develop human capital - increasing the velocity at which we are able to do so.

This role sits at the very heart of that model, as we mature as a Global People function, establish ourselves as an OD Team, to grow & develop our Lockton Associates. Operating as a strategic business partner, consulting with the business to develop & deliver Organizational Development strategies, that deliver measurable impact and drive strong business results.

As the OD Consultant, Facilitation & Delivery you focus on designing and facilitating impactful leadership curriculum to enhance managerial effectiveness and amplify career growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess learning needs, create tailored development experiences and deliver high-quality content in multiple formats.

The Role
• Facilitate leadership and consulting training programs to strengthen managerial skills, leadership capacity and succession bench strength
• Collaborate with nationwide stakeholders to identify development needs and recommend innovative learning solutions
• Develop engaging curriculum, including virtual instructor-led sessions, eLearning courses, job aids and live in person cohorts
• Execute learning initiatives aligned with business goals, ensuring seamless delivery and execution
• Implement and oversee coaching initiatives to support professional growth and team development
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics
• Stay informed about new trends and technologies in learning and development to enhance training experiences
• Maintain high standards for instructional design, ensuring consistency and quality across all programs

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or experience equivalent
Typically requires 8+ years of experience in the insurance industry and/or related field
Strong knowledge of current and future-oriented training, learning and development methodologies including but not limited to: e-learning, blended learning, learning communities, performance support, and web supported events
Strong knowledge of property and casualty coverage including, but not limited to workers compensation, auto, general liability, umbrella, property and business income
Experience designing, conducting and leading employee learning including if not all of the following: classroom training, instructional design, curriculum development, coaching and organizational development
Working knowledge of PowerPoint, SharePoint, advanced Excel, MS Project (or Project Management tracking program) as a requirements management tool
Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats
Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions
Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
Ability to travel 30-50% of the time
Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine
Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
Legally able to work in the United States

Lockton Pledges $1 M...

Lockton has pledged $1 million to support the Spencer Educational Foundation. The contribution, which will advance the Foundation’s mission of supporting the next generation of risk management and insurance professionals, was announced at the Foundation’s annual Funding Their Future Gala, which generated more than $1.9 million, a new high-water mark. Underscoring the firm’s commitment to talent development, Lockton U.S. President Tim Ryan said the contribution will further bolster the Foundation’s ability to provide scholarships, internships, and experiential learning grants. Ryan was the honoree at the Gala, which was held Sept. 18 in New York. “For decades, Spencer has played a critical role in preparing students for meaningful careers in our industry,” said Ryan. “Speaking with several Spencer Scholars was the highlight of the night. Some are the first in their families to attend college. Some are working multiple jobs to pay for school. Their determination is inspiring, and it reminds us that our role isn’t just about financial support—it’s about showing up with our time, our mentoring, and real-world experiences that set students up for success. This is a shared responsibility, and Lockton is proud to invest in the future of our profession by supporting the Foundation’s mission.” Ryan also highlighted the industry’s ongoing need to attract and develop talent with a wide range of skills. “Insurance offers a broad and rewarding set of career paths,” he said. “The more we can arm students with experience, access, and support early in their careers, the stronger our industry will be in the years to come.” Lockton has a long-standing partnership with Spencer.
