Position Summary

The Organizational Development Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Right People, Right Skills, Right Seats strategy. This role is responsible for designing and delivering programs that enhance workforce capabilities, build strong leadership pipelines, and foster a culture of continuous learning and engagement. Key responsibilities include developing and managing comprehensive training programs, administering the Learning Management System (LMS), leading the succession planning process—including the 9-box talent assessment—overseeing internship and trainee initiatives, and coordinating employee surveying and engagement activities.

Learning & Development

  • Design, develop, and implement training programs that align with both organizational goals and employee development needs.
  • Assess the learning needs of employees and recommend appropriate instructional methods, delivery formats, and technologies to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions aimed at building employee and leadership competencies.
  • Work with business units to recommend the best format and delivery methods for technical training.
  • Design and develop orientation programs that effectively allow new hires to feel welcome, safe and functional as they join Keller.
  • Monitor participation in training programs, evaluate their effectiveness, and make continuous improvements based on feedback and business results.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the company’s LMS, including responsibilities such as user setup, course uploads, curriculum assignments, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Monitor compliance with training requirements and generate regular reports detailing participation, completion rates, and learning metrics.
  • Provide support to employees and managers on LMS troubleshooting, access, and navigation issues.

Succession Planning & Talent Development

  • Coordinate the annual succession planning process, utilizing the 9-box talent review to assess employee performance and potential.
  • Work closely with HR leadership and business unit leaders to identify key roles and suitable successors, ensuring continuity of leadership and critical skills within the organization.
  • Maintain and update talent profiles, readiness assessments, and individual development plans for high-potential employees.
  • Support leadership development initiatives and create tools and resources to strengthen the internal talent pipeline.
  • Track and report talent metrics to monitor bench strength and development progress.

Internship & Early Career Programs

  • Design, coordinate, and manage internship and trainee programs to attract and cultivate emerging talent.
  • Partner with universities and community organizations to strengthen early career pipelines.
  • Provide onboarding, training, and mentoring support to interns and trainees.
  • Assess program success and recommend enhancements to improve participant experience and retention.

Organizational Development Initiatives

  • Support change management efforts by providing communications, training, and engagement strategies.
  • Partner with HR and department leaders to identify development needs and propose organizational solutions.
  • Contribute to culture-building, employee engagement, and talent management initiatives throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in organizational development, learning and development, or talent management.
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS) such as ADP, Cornerstone, or similar platforms.
  • Experience facilitating the 9-box succession planning process or similar talent review frameworks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with employee engagement surveys or organizational assessments.
  • Strong skills in facilitation, instructional design, and project management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and curriculum design tools (e.g. Articulate).
