GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES:
a) Participate in continuous quality improvement as and when required and in any other work assigned by the HOD within the scope of the job.
b) Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
c) Actively participate in the Medical Center’s on-going Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Programs and other In-Service Training Programs
d) Act as a translator if needed
e) Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the Head of Department
DEPARTMENT SPECIALIZED RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Point of contact for HAAD OSH Centre.
b) Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health
c) Undertaking risk assessment and site inspections
d) Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely
e) Identifying potential hazards
f) Determining ways of reducing risks
g) Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies
h) Compiling statistics
i) Making presentations to groups of employees/managers
j) Providing health and safety meetings and training courses for employees
k) Liaising with relevant authorities
l) Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES:

Perform additional tasks assigned by the Head of Department within the scope of the role
Exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, records, and reports
Actively participate in the Medical Center’s Patient Safety and Quality Improvement programs
Attend and contribute to ongoing in-service training programs
Act as a translator when required
Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department

Ensure equipment is installed and operated correctly and safely
Identify potential workplace hazards
Determine and implement measures to reduce risks
Develop and draft internal health and safety policies and strategies
Compile and analyze health and safety statistics
Deliver presentations to employees and management
Organize and conduct health and safety meetings and training sessions
Liaise with relevant regulatory and government authorities
Stay up to date with current health and safety legislation and ensure organizational compliance
Diploma in Health and Safety (All Certifications related to OSH)
At least 7 years-experience in Medical Centre or similar organization
