Outbound Sales Representative

Giant Communications / JBN Telephone is seeking motivated and results-driven Outbound Sales Representative (OSR) to support customer growth through proactive prospecting and appointment setting. This role focuses on generating qualified sales opportunities by engaging prospective customers and promoting the company’s telecommunications services.

The OSR plays a key role in driving new business by initiating outbound calls, identifying customer needs, and scheduling qualified appointments for the sales team.


Reports to: Manager of Customer Operations

Department: Customer Operations

Classification: Hourly- Non Exempt


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers (minimum of 200 calls per week)
  • Identify customer needs and generate interest in services
  • Schedule qualified appointments for the sales team
  • Accurately log all calls, appointments, and activities in Salesforce CRM
  • Represent the company in a professional and consultative manner
  • Communicate company messaging:

  • Promote and introduce services including:
  • Internet
  • Giant TV Now
  • Giant Mobile
  • Managed Wi-Fi
  • Surveillance systems

Access to Sensitive Areas and Information

  • CPNI and other sensitive customer information

General Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain consistent outbound prospecting activity
  • Meet or exceed weekly call and appointment targets
  • Ensure all activities are properly documented in Salesforce
  • Uphold professionalism and accuracy in all customer interactions

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in sales, telemarketing, customer service, or call center environments preferred
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high call volumes and maintain a positive attitude
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position: Please note that these hours are subject to change based on company needs, business demands, and employee productivity.


Monday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Tuesday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Thursday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Friday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM


Travel

Frequent travel is expected for this position.
