An outdoor sales representative is responsible for meeting clients in person, promoting products or services, and closing sales deals while building and maintaining customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Interaction: Meet with potential and existing customers in assigned territories to discuss their needs and present sales proposals. This includes conducting product demonstrations and explaining features and benefits.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales and meet or exceed sales targets. This may involve identifying prospective customers, following up on leads, and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate sales contracts and close deals, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. This includes addressing customer complaints and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts. Regularly submit sales reports to management.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and industry developments to effectively position the company's offerings.
