<Job Summary>
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Outpatient Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality outpatient psychotherapy services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. <Responsibilities>
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and art or dance therapy when appropriate.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health episodes effectively, ensuring client safety and stabilization.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and secure medical documentation practices.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals, incorporating case management and progress tracking through detailed medical records.
- Engage in clinical research and data collection efforts to improve service quality and contribute to evidence-based practices within behavioral health.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and families to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with disabilities or special needs such as autism or developmental disabilities.
<Requirements>
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or equivalent state credential.
- Proven experience in outpatient mental health settings with children, adolescents, or adults; clinic experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychopharmacology basics, trauma-informed care for PTSD, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling.
- Familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments and deliver patient-centered care via telehealth or in-person settings.
- Ability to manage crisis situations effectively while demonstrating strong crisis management and behavior management skills.
