Support Philanthropy initiatives primarily by assisting with the collection of Book Donations at the Operations Center including maintaining records and statistics, lifting, carrying, arranging boxes of books and working with volunteers under the direction and supervision of the Volunteer Manager (10-15 hours per week.)

Support Belonging and Accessibility initiatives including the maintenance, supply, and stock of Eat Freely Fridges at 4 library locations under the direction and supervision of the Accessibility & Belonging Manager (4-6 hours per week)

Support Community Outreach initiatives and operations including routine maintenance of 3 Story Walks and assistance with transitioning of stories, routine care of Outreach vehicles, and occasional delivery of books and materials to Outreach sites under the direction and supervision of Community Outreach Manager (2-4 hours per week)
FOUNDATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Use various cleaning agents in maintaining a clean appearance of equipment, and reporting any vandalism or equipment failures to the supervisor immediately.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily records on mileage.

Maintain records and statistics related to programs.

Move, lift, and open cartons of books and other materials; physically remove, arrange, and place books and materials appropriately; remove empty boxes in an appropriate manner

Engage in system-wide electronic communication, including using email, file sharing tools, and various HR applications.

Follow organizational, County, and public health and safety guidelines and protocols and perform job functions in a safe manner and report all safety hazards

At least one (1) year relevant work experience

Ability to perform job functions.

Knowledge of Community

Required to possess and maintain a valid State of South Carolina Driver’s License and the ability to drive Library owned vehicles including transport vans per established procedures, and safety guidelines

Regular attendance at work on-site is essential to maintain the necessary teamwork, personal interaction, and supervision that this position requires.

Salary: $15.75/hr
Hours: 20 hours per week to include some nights and weekends: varying between 8:00am and 6:00pm
