Outside Sales

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Outside Sales Representative with a strong background in security systems, home automation, and integrated technology solutions. In this role, you will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with clients, and delivering innovative solutions in security, audio/video, and smart home technologies. A passion for technology and customer success is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities in security systems, surveillance, access control, audio/video, and smart home integration.
  • Present and demonstrate security and automation solutions to residential and commercial clients.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, integrators, builders, and contractors through regular communication and follow-ups.
  • Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and design tailored technology solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve profitable sales results.
  • Collaborate with internal design, installation, and project management teams to ensure smooth handoff and successful project implementation.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products in the home integration and electronic security sectors.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and regular activity reports to management.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in outside sales, technical sales, or business development—preferably in security systems, A/V, or smart home integration.
  • Knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarm systems, networking, and automation platforms (e.g., Control4, Savant, Lutron, Crestron, etc.).
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a consultative sales approach.
  • Proficiency with Simpro or similar CRM/project management software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • FASA/BASA certification preferred and/or relevant field experience with home integrator systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
