Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be the face of our company in the field—building long-term relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and delivering solutions that help contractors, builders, and businesses succeed. Key Responsibilities
- Grow territory sales by developing and executing a strategic plan focused on both new business acquisition and customer retention.
- Identify and pursue opportunities with plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors, general contractors, and commercial clients.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers by delivering excellent service, support, and follow-through.
- Conduct in-person client meetings and job site visits to present products, provide technical consultation, and recommend solutions tailored to project requirements.
- Act as a trusted product expert, offering knowledge, insights, and recommendations that set us apart from competitors.
- Collaborate across departments (inside sales, purchasing, warehouse) to ensure accurate orders, timely deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage accounts using CRM tools, track pipeline activity, and provide accurate sales reporting.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and new product lines to proactively meet customer needs.
- Represent the company at trade shows, trainings, and industry events to build brand presence and expand your network.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of outside sales experience in plumbing, HVAC, construction, or building materials.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, and supply products.
- Demonstrated success in business development, territory management, and client relationship building.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented with strong time management abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and mobile tools for managing accounts on the go.
