What You’ll Do

As an Overnight Veterinary Technician Assistant, you will play a vital role in patient care and hospital operations by supporting our Technicians and Doctors:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment through routine cleaning and disinfection
  • Assist with general patient care and monitoring, including ER and ICU support
  • Safely restrain patients for exams, treatments, and diagnostics
  • Support care for high-risk and isolation patients (with appropriate training/clearance)
  • Perform basic laboratory tests (PCV/TS, CBC, chemistries, urinalysis, blood glucose, etc.)
  • Assist with radiographs for stable patients (with proper training/clearance)
  • Stock and organize medical supplies throughout the hospital
  • Manage laundry, waste disposal (including medical waste), and kennel upkeep
  • Contribute to overall team efficiency and patient comfort during overnight hours

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior veterinary or animal care experience strongly encouraged
  • Experience with canine/feline restraint preferred
  • Basic lab skills and introductory radiology safety knowledge a plus
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, positive, “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to lift, pull, or move up to 35 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work overnights, weekends, and rotating holidays

Pre-Veterinary, Animal Science, or Veterinary Technician students/graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
