Packaging Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Watershed Wellness Center is looking for a packaging technician to join our team. The packaging technician will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, packaging, labeling, and shipping of food and wellness products from our facility.

Flexible schedule with part-time and full time positions available. We are open 9-5, Monday-Friday. We adjust your schedule based on your availability and the number of hours per week you'd like to work. Ideal candidates can work about 20 hours per week.

We are a small, family-owned operation consisting of no more than about 10 employees at any time. Here you can expect a more relaxed working environment without the corporate drama.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle, package, ship materials, and fulfill online orders in accordance with FDA regulations and safety procedures.
• Manufacture products such as powders and tablets using our industry-standard processing equipment & machinery.
• Work with 2-3 other warehouse employees & receptionists to fulfill orders through Shopify in a timely manner.
• Keep warehouse clean, orderly, and organized.
• Count and update inventory accordingly.
• Place labels evenly on bags and package & seal material into bags.
• Notify manager if any products are within a 6-month best-by date.
• Follow all company policies, safety policies and procedures.
• Follows all quality standards, procedures, and practices befitting the health & wellness industry.
• Performs work in accordance with specifications and requirements of the FDA and company policies.
• Understands product specifications and performs work in accordance with specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Preferred but not required.

- Skills or knowledge of: FDA regulations, CGMP, programmable logic controllers, forklift, and manufacturing, packaging & handling of materials/products for orders. Preferred but not required.

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment as well as a warehouse environment.

- Must be able to read and follow standardized documents.

- Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
