Reporting to the Director of Performance & Demand Gen Marketing, this role will own and scale Flock Safety's paid search strategy across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. You will be responsible for driving qualified pipeline growth, improving conversion rates throughout the funnel, and optimizing campaigns for ROI across three distinct business verticals, Law Enforcement, business, and neighborhoods. This role will manage day-to-day campaign execution, optimization, and strategic planning to position paid search as a key pipeline and revenue driver. You should be highly analytical, detail oriented, and results driven, with the ability to balance multiple priorities across different verticals and product lines. This role requires deep expertise in paid search best practices, a data driven approach to optimization that focuses on pipeline quality and closed won revenue, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work effectively with demand generation, content, product marketing, creative, and marketing operations teams.
Own the end to end paid search strategy across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, driving qualified pipeline growth across three distinct verticals (B2B, B2Gov, B2SMB) through strategic budget allocation, campaign structures, and performance optimization that aligns with business goals
Manage daily campaign operations and optimization, including keyword research and expansion, ad copy, bid strategy implementation, negative keyword management, and testing of advanced tactics
Develop and execute a continuous testing framework, running A/B tests across ad copy, landing pages, audiences, and bidding strategies, to identify optimization opportunities and drive incremental performance gains
Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of campaign performance, translating data into actionable insights that drive ongoing optimization and learning and reporting regularly to marketing leadership and key stakeholders
Partner cross-functionally with demand generation, SEO/content, product marketing, creative, and marketing operations teams to align paid search with broader marketing initiatives, optimize landing pages, and ensure consistent messaging across channels
3+ years of hands on paid search experience in high-growth B2B companies, with a proven track record of managing budgets of $200K+ per month across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
Deep expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft ads platforms
Strong analytical skills with ability to manipulate and analyze data using Excel/Google Sheets, Sigma, or SQL to identify trends and optimization opportunities
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities across different segments, products, and stakeholder groups
Excellent communication skills for presenting performance insights, recommendations, and strategies to cross-functional partners and leadership
Data-driven decision making approach with focus on testing, measurement, and continuous optimization based on performance data
Self-starter mentality who can work independently, take ownership of results, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
SEO knowledge and experience coordinating paid and organic search strategies
Familiarity with landing page optimization tools (Mutiny, Optimizely, VWO, etc.)
Experience marketing across multiple customer segments or verticals simultaneously
Salesforce reporting experience and understanding of marketing attribution models
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) experience
Google Ads or Microsoft Ads certifications
Experience with Performance Max campaigns and AI-powered bidding strategies

The First 30 Days
By the end of 30 days, you will complete a comprehensive audit of our paid search accounts, take full operational ownership, and begin implementing quick-win optimizations.
Complete comprehensive audit of Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts, analyzing campaign structure, budget allocation, keyword performance, ad copy quality, conversion tracking, and bidding strategies across all segments and products
Take full operational ownership of paid search, including all daily campaign management, optimization, budget allocation, and reporting responsibilities
Establish baseline performance metrics and build your own reporting dashboard that tracks cost per opportunity, pipeline generated, conversion rates, and ROI by vertical and product
Identify 5-10 quick-win optimization opportunities including campaign restructuring, negative keyword additions, budget reallocation, bid strategy improvements, and ad copy refreshes
Build relationships with key stakeholders by meeting with all demand generation managers to understand their strategies, pain points, and how paid search can better support their goals
The First 60 Days
At the end of 60 days, you will drive measurable performance improvements, launch product-specific campaigns, and implement advanced optimization strategies.
Drive an improvement in qualified pipeline while maintaining or improving cost per opportunity efficiency
Implement advanced optimization initiatives
Build a scalable testing framework and execute on it, while documenting results
Expand keyword universe by identifying and launching new high-intent keywords
90 Days & Beyond
At the end of 90 days, you will establish paid search as a primary pipeline driver, own budget planning, and position yourself as the paid search expert at Flock.
Own paid search budget planning
Build a 3 month testing and optimization roadmap for paid search
Become the trusted strategic partner for demand gen managers
In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $96,000 and $142,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
