Painter

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and removing old paint.
• Mix and match paints and other materials to achieve the desired color and texture.
• Apply paint, varnish, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Repair and maintain painted surfaces, including walls, ceilings, doors, metal structures, and furniture.
• Carry out minor plastering and surface touch-up works as needed.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of painting tools, materials, and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) as part of the facility maintenance team.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure minimal disruption to building occupants.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: High School Certificate
• Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of painting experience, preferably in facility management, construction, or building maintenance.
• Skills:
• Good knowledge of paints, coatings, and surface preparation methods.
• Familiarity with different painting tools and equipment.
• Ability to read work orders and follow technical instructions.
• Understanding of safety procedures and standards in maintenance operations.
