Painter

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

§ High School Diploma or higher

§ Proven experience in a similar role

§ Ability to use hand and power tools painting equipment

§ Good color vision; ability to differentiate between colors.

Main Objective:

§ To hold responsibility for all paint related works on the interior and exterior of structures, buildings, and other surfaces and to ensure the attainment of both practical and aesthetic benefits of painting.

Duties & Tasks:

§ Comprehend blueprints, work orders and instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.

§ Perform all general maintenance and renovation assignments related to the painting trade; carry out repairs to different surfaces such as wood, plaster, drywall, etc.

§ Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.

§ Conduct a regular inspection to examine and maintain painted exterior and interior surfaces, trimming and fixtures; inspect and refurbish surfaces by means of the appropriate materials.

§ Perform the necessary process in preparation of surfaces before the application of paint such as removing the previous paint by means of sandblasting, scraping, sanding, hydro-blasting and steam-cleaning.

§ Maintain a clean and safe work environment − follow established protection procedures and adhere to health and safety precautions; and clean up job site after work and return equipment and tools.

§ Perform other related duties assigned by the management.

§ Ensures compliance to systems, processes and procedures.

§ Provide weekly and monthly reports to Team Leader.
