Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our painting and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship on every project. Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment—including airless paint sprayers—and hand tools
• Read blueprints, schematics, and detailed schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications
• Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, and drywall finishing to create smooth surfaces for painting
• Execute renovation projects involving framing carpentry, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work
• Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete painting tasks and surface preparations
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and quality

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting with a strong understanding of color theory and finishing techniques
• Familiarity with commercial and industrial painting projects including working on construction sites with diverse environments
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting scope and material needs
• Hands-on experience with construction site safety protocols and working at heights or in confined spaces
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Skills in plastering, masonry, concrete finishing, welding, or other related trades are a plus
• Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities accurately
• Previous handyman experience or involvement in remodeling projects is highly desirable
