Painting Inspector

DRAWLINES ENGINEERING CONSULT is looking for Painting Inspector in Doha, Qatar

Requirements:

• Locally available in Qatar with valid QID and NOC (if applicable).
• Immediate availability to join is a must.
• Qatar Energy Approved Painting Inspector.
• Certifications Required:
• BGAS-CSWIP
• NACE Coating Inspector Level II (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in coating/painting inspection, preferably in oil & gas or industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of coating specifications, procedures, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspection of surface preparation and painting/coating activities in compliance with project specifications and international standards (e.g., ISO, SSPC, NACE).
• Ensure proper application of paints/coatings in accordance with manufacturer’s data sheets and relevant procedures.
• Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) and confirm suitability for coating application.
• Verify and ensure proper surface cleanliness, roughness, and profile prior to coating.
• Review and verify inspection reports, daily progress reports, and test records.
• Witness and validate DFT (Dry Film Thickness) measurements and adhesion tests.
• Participate in internal and client inspections and audits.
• Coordinate with contractors, QA/QC teams, and project engineers to ensure quality compliance.
• Maintain complete documentation of inspections and quality records.
