Palette Tea House is one of San Francisco’s leading modern Chinese restaurants, located in historic Ghirardelli Square. Our restaurant has been recognized by the Michelin Guide, featured in the San Francisco Chronicle Top 88 Restaurants, and is widely known for its refined dim sum and modern Chinese cuisine.

We run a fast-paced dining room with high food and service standards, but we believe hospitality begins with people. While restaurant experience is helpful, we believe this role can be learned by anyone with the right mindset, work ethic, and desire to take care of others.

Compensation

• Tip Share: Additional tips typically add $8–$12/hour

• Typical Total Earnings: Approximately $27–$31/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Clear and remove dishes promptly and efficiently

• Reset and prepare tables for incoming guests

• Greet guests warmly and assist with basic requests

• Respond to guest inquiries in a friendly and professional manner

• Support servers during service to maintain smooth dining operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations

• Help create a welcoming environment for guests and coworkers

• Perform other restaurant duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, food service, or hospitality preferred but not required

• Ability to interact with guests in a professional and pleasant manner

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
