Tannenbaum Helpern, a premier New York-based law firm, is seeking a paralegal to join its Corporate and Real Estate practices. The successful candidate would have at least one, and preferably two years’ experience in a similar role and should demonstrate strong listening and communication skills, an ability to follow instructions, and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Support the Corporate and Real Estate practice groups in the following ways, under the supervision of our lawyers:

· Form business entities, including limited liability companies, corporations, and general and limited partnerships, in Delaware and New York, working with our corporate service companies

· Prepare initial drafts of organizational documents for business entities using firm forms

· Conduct lien and litigation searches

· Organize and track deal documents for corporate and real estate transactions, and assist in all phases of transactions from inception to closing

· Draft entity resolutions and consents

· Analyze title documents, surveys, and other property-related materials.

· Drafting ancillary closing and transactional documents, such as certificates, bills of sale, and assignments

· Prepare closing binders of documents for mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions, as well as for real estate transactions

· Facilitate communication between all parties to transactions, including lenders, attorneys, title companies, etc.

· Answer client questions when appropriate.

· Submit accurate legal documents in a timely manner.

Requirements:

· One to three years’ experience in a similar role in a law firm or legal department.

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

· Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

· Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

· Ability to follow complex instructions with high degree of accuracy and keen attention to detail.

· Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and resolving issues proactively.

Salary: $55,000- $65,000

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
