Paralegal

Our law firm is looking for the awesome paralegal who has empathy, understanding, and works extremely well with others. Helping people through traumatic incidences is a difficult feat. Having a passion for helping others is essential in being successful in this position. A paralegal should drive the attorney, push cases, and prepare documents when tasked. Must have experience handling cases in the personal injury field.

• Drafting legal documents such as complaint, summons, motions, briefs, or subpoenas
• Conducting research on relevant laws and case law to support the arguments made in court
• Preparing case files for trial by collecting evidence such as documents, recordings, photographs, and other materials that support claims made in a lawsuit
• Reviewing contracts and other legal documents to ensure they comply with legal guidelines and standards
• Communicating with clients about their cases, including scheduling meetings to discuss case progress and updating clients about relevant developments in their cases
• Drafting pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and other court filings
• Conducting interviews with witnesses and experts to gather information relevant to case proceedings
• Assisting attorneys with discovery proceedings such as locating witnesses and organizing evidence
• Reviewing discovery materials received from opposing parties or counsel in order to identify any issues with the evidence provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
