Overview

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our growing personal injury law firm. As a key member of our team, you will assist in all phases of case development, from intake through trial preparation.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing high-volume personal injury litigation, drafting legal documents, handling discovery, trial preparation, and maintaining client communication. This position requires a proactive, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about client advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Propound and respond to written discovery (Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, RFPs, RFAs)
  • Draft settlement demands and correspondence to insurance carriers and opposing counsel
  • Draft litigation pleadings, motions, and oppositions
  • Prepare trial binders, exhibit lists, and other court-related materials
  • File court documents in compliance with California court rules, including e-filing procedures
  • Review and summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and discovery responses
  • Assist in deposition scheduling, trial logistics, and witness coordination
  • Maintain organized case files and track court deadlines and hearing dates
  • Communicate professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court staff
  • Support attorneys in trial preparation and day-to-day litigation tasks
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Paralegal in personal injury litigation
  • 2+ years litigation experience handling discovery, motions, and trial prep
  • Strong knowledge of California state court rules and filing procedures
  • Excellent legal writing, communication, and proofreading skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Proficient in legal research and case management software (e.g., Dropbox or similar platforms)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a legal team
  • Fluent Spanish-speaking/writing is a strong plus
