Role Overview


The Paralegal will provide essential support to the senior legal team, assisting with a variety of legal and administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of legal principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the legal department and supporting the firm’s investment activities.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


Document Preparation and Management:

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Draft routine correspondence and legal documents under the supervision of senior lawyers.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct legal research on various topics related to investment funds, securities laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Summarize findings and prepare reports for the senior legal team.
  • Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations.

Transactional Support:

  • Support the legal team in the execution of transactions, including due diligence, document review, and closing processes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of closing binders and post-closing documentation.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file regulatory documents with relevant authorities.
  • Maintain compliance records and assist in the preparation of compliance reports.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for the legal team.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by senior lawyers.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in an investment fund or financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles, document management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
