Role Overview
The Paralegal will provide essential support to the senior legal team, assisting with a variety of legal and administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of legal principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the legal department and supporting the firm’s investment activities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Document Preparation and Management:

Assist in the preparation, review, and management of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.

Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.

Draft routine correspondence and legal documents under the supervision of senior lawyers.
Research and Analysis:

Conduct legal research on various topics related to investment funds, securities laws, and regulatory compliance.

Summarize findings and prepare reports for the senior legal team.

Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations.
Transactional Support:

Support the legal team in the execution of transactions, including due diligence, document review, and closing processes.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation.

Assist in the preparation of closing binders and post-closing documentation.
Regulatory Compliance:

Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Prepare and file regulatory documents with relevant authorities.

Maintain compliance records and assist in the preparation of compliance reports.
Administrative Support:

Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for the legal team.

Handle administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.

Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by senior lawyers.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.

Paralegal certification or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in an investment fund or financial services environment.

Strong knowledge of legal principles, document management, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
