Paralegal

Our firm is looking for a Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research and writing, as well as experience with document review and preparation. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. We are looking for someone who has earned a Paralegal Certificate, is detail-oriented and has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with case preparation by conducting legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis.
• Draft, review, and organize legal documents including pleadings, contracts, and discovery materials.
• Manage case files and maintain document management systems to ensure easy access to information.
• Transcribe legal documents and correspondence accurately.
• Coordinate project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters as necessary.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, filing documents, and maintaining calendars.
• Stay updated on changes in laws relevant to the firm's practice areas.
• Research legal documents and precedents.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings.
• Draft correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
