<Responsibilities>
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and other research tools to support case strategies across diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, and securities law
- Manage legal case files and document management systems like MyCase and PCLaw to ensure accurate recordkeeping and easy retrieval of information
- Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws including family law, civil litigation, administrative law, and more.
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining organized workflows for multiple cases simultaneously
- Perform data entry, file organization, and administrative tasks such as filing, proofreading, transcription, and maintaining client records with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist in client interviews by preparing questions and documenting responses accurately to facilitate effective communication between clients and attorneys
<Skills>
- Proven experience as a paralegal or in a legal administrative role with familiarity in various practice areas such as family law, civil litigation, administrative law, and more.
- Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms to gather pertinent case law and statutory information
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents, contracts, memos, and reports with clarity and professionalism
- Proficiency in legal case management software including MyCase and PCLaw for document review and workflow coordination
- Knowledge of document review procedures, contract management, and document management systems to streamline case processes
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in data entry and filing tasks
- Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for interacting with clients, attorneys, vendors, and court personnel
