<Job Summary>
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and workers' compensation law. Your proactive approach and strong research skills will help streamline case management, document review, and legal research processes. <Responsibilities>

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation by conducting comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support litigation and transactional matters.
  • Manage and organize legal documents through document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery responses, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Conduct interviews with clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather pertinent information for cases involving family law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant disputes, or immigration matters.
  • Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, maintaining case calendars, and coordinating filings with courts or regulatory agencies.
  • Perform data entry and filing tasks efficiently while maintaining organized records in compliance with firm policies.
  • Provide administrative support such as answering phones with professional etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing client communications.
  • Conduct legal research on specialized areas such as patent law or tribal regulations to assist attorneys in developing case strategies.

<Requirements>

  • Paralegal experience or certification demonstrating familiarity with diverse legal practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and landlord-tenant law.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with document management systems like iManage is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading and transcription abilities are essential.
  • Knowledge of legal administrative procedures including filing procedures and document review processes.
  • Experience with project management tools and litigation support software such as PCLaw is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette; ability to interview clients and witnesses effectively.
  • Familiarity with clerical tasks such as data entry, filing systems, and maintaining organized case files in a fast-paced environment.
