Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Paralegal based in Lancaster, PA. The Paralegal will support the attorneys while maintaining a high standard of professional service.

  • Assist attorneys with legal research using legal research tools to gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations across diverse practice areas relating to nonprofit organizations, business formation, and estate planning.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents with precision and clarity.
  • Manage and organize case files using document management systems to ensure easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping standards.
  • Conduct thorough document review for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to case requirements; perform proofreading and transcription as needed.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities such as data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, managing phone etiquette, and providing executive administrative support to attorneys.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Paralegal Certification, Juris Doctor (JD) degree, or two years of Paralegal experience. Estate planning or relevant legal practice preferred.
  • Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in legal administrative tasks across multiple practice areas including nonprofit organizations, business formation, and estate planning.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with project management experience to handle multiple cases efficiently.
  • Ability to perform detailed document review and conduct effective legal research independently.
  • Knowledge of various practice areas including nonprofit organizations, business formation, and estate planning is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in data entry and file management systems required.
