The Role

We are looking for a highly organized and empathetic Paratransit Dispatcher to join our operations in Robinson Township. You will be the central hub of our daily activities, serving as the primary connection between our clients, medical facilities, and our dedicated team of drivers. Because of the vulnerable nature of the clients we serve, the ideal candidate must possess exceptional communication skills and a genuine sense of caring and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

• Active Dispatching: Efficiently schedule and dispatch drivers for daily routes, ensuring safe and timely pick-ups and drop-offs for all passengers.
• Clear Communication: Maintain constant, professional contact with drivers on the road, providing updates and adjusting routes on the fly to navigate traffic or unexpected delays.
• Compassionate Customer Care: Answer incoming calls from clients, caregivers, and medical facilities with warmth and patience.
• Dynamic Problem Solving: Adapt quickly to last-minute schedule changes, cancellations, or urgent transport requests without losing composure.
• Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous daily logs of dispatch activities, trip times, and driver tracking.

Qualifications

• Exceptional Communication Skills: You must be able to convey information clearly, calmly, and kindly over the phone and via two-way radio/messaging.
• Caring & Compassionate Nature: A genuine desire to help others and an understanding of the unique needs of non-emergency medical transport passengers.
• Strong Organization: The ability to multitask, prioritize urgent needs, and manage a high-volume flow of information.
• Local Knowledge: Solid familiarity with the roadways in Robinson Township and the surrounding greater Pittsburgh area.
• Experience: Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or high-level customer service is highly preferred.
