Fischer Panda is a worldwide renowned manufacturer of diesel generators, hybrid and drive systems for mobile marine, vehicle, and military applications – we offer power for the future.
We are currently seeking a sales/purchasing associate to answer calls, take and process orders in our parts department.
This candidate must have prior parts sales experience, with some knowledge of automotive type components, Diesel Engines, Technical, or Mechanical Components
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answer customer’s inquiries via email and telephone with the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Provide basic technical assistance and guidance regarding questions about our products, cross reference the part needed for their particular application.
- Provide quotes to our customers and process sales orders
- Greet customers who come in to purchase parts at the counter.
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes, processing shipping, placing orders in the delivery area.
- Receive payment or obtain credit authorization, process credit card payments.
- Perform stocking, issuing, receiving and inventory control functions including cycle counts.
- Sort and place materials and parts on racks, shelves, or in bins.
- Issue and confirm purchase orders, verifying material specifications and pricing.
- Proactively research and locate additional suppliers to cover possible shortages from current suppliers, negotiate the best pricing and delivery times without compromising the quality.
- Complete order form and place orders with vendors and manufacturers as directed by Parts Manager.
- Monitor, follow up and communicate with approved suppliers on shipping commitments of incoming purchase orders to ensure customer demands are met; improve delivery on any orders that are delayed.
Requirements:
- Great communication skills with strong customer service abilities
- Basic computer skills, organized, and detail orientated
- Knowledge of Diesel Engines/generator parts, and/or automotive parts
- Experience in Part sales and/or purchasing.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be self-motivated and professional
- Re-arrange priorities according to customer needs
- Able to work in a team oriented environment
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Bilingual English and Spanish a Plus
- Capable of lifting and moving items of up to 45 pounds
