What's in Store
We are on the lookout for a part-time Administrative Assistant in our Sarasota, FL office, who will be responsible for the administrative and secretarial support for the branch manager and office. In addition to typing, filing, and scheduling, you will perform duties such as coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings and working on special projects. In addition, you will answer non-routine correspondences and assemble confidential information.

This is a part-time, on-site position located in Sarasota, FL.

Key Responsibilities


  • Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities
  • Establish, develop, maintain and update files when needed
  • Organize and prioritize large volumes of information and calls
  • Sets up new claim files received from clients and transmits electronic files/reports to clients on same day
  • Respond to client emails the same day as received
  • Ensure reports are distributed within 1 business day
  • Sort, distribute, and scan incoming mail
  • Draft written responses or replies by phone or email when necessary
  • Respond to regularly occurring requests for information
  • Answer phones for branch manager and take messages or field/answer routine and non-routine questions
  • Handles confidential and non-routine information
  • Works independently and with a team
  • Type and design general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc.
  • Proofread all copies for spelling, grammar and layout, making any and all appropriate changes for accuracy and clarity for final copies

Skills, knowledge & expertise


  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of administrative experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail/thoroughness skills
  • Possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic work environment
