Job Overview
This is a part-time, make your own hours, Bookkeeper role located in the Detroit Metropolitan Area (Novi/Wixom). The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for small and medium business clients by performing tasks such as managing daily bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, recording journal entries, monthly bank reconciliations, and maintaining a knowledge of QuickBooks online and desktop versions. The role also requires collaboration with team members and clients to ensure books are kept up to date to support the clients financial decision-making processes.

Duties

  • Record and process journal entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with payroll processing and tax-related tasks.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to maintain the integrity of financial statements.
  • Prepare financial reports.
  • Support double-entry bookkeeping practices by recording debits & credits accurately across all accounts.

Experience

  • Proficiency in Bookkeeping, managing Journal Entries, bank reconciliations and preparing Financial Statements
  • Proficiency and experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively
  • Relevant certifications in bookkeeping or accounting are highly desirable

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Wixom, MI 48393
