Part-Time Bookkeeper

Part-Time Bookkeeper Independent Property & Casualty Insurance Agency

Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | In Office / Hybrid Potential

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of our growing independent insurance agency.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, and working behind the scenes to help a business run efficiently. The right candidate will have bookkeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial tasks independently.

Experience in insurance accounting or agency billing is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping
  • Process accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank accounts and carrier statements
  • Track commissions and agency billing
  • Assist with invoicing and payment processing
  • Maintain organized financial records and reports
  • Support month-end reconciliation and reporting
  • Work closely with agency ownership on operational accounting tasks
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality with financial information

QualificationsPreferred Skills

  • Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Professional and dependable work ethic

Bonus Qualifications

  • Insurance agency or financial services experience
  • Experience with agency bill accounting
  • Familiarity with AMS360
  • Administrative or office management experience
