We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of our growing independent insurance agency.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, and working behind the scenes to help a business run efficiently. The right candidate will have bookkeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial tasks independently.
Experience in insurance accounting or agency billing is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and carrier statements
- Track commissions and agency billing
- Assist with invoicing and payment processing
- Maintain organized financial records and reports
- Support month-end reconciliation and reporting
- Work closely with agency ownership on operational accounting tasks
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality with financial information
QualificationsPreferred Skills
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Professional and dependable work ethic
Bonus Qualifications
- Insurance agency or financial services experience
- Experience with agency bill accounting
- Familiarity with AMS360
- Administrative or office management experience
