We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our construction company. This position offers an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our business while enjoying a flexible part-time schedule.
The ideal candidate will have experience with bookkeeping and accounting practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely financial information to support business operations.
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions using QuickBooks.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate bookkeeping records following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll reporting.
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting, account analysis, and financial planning.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
- Work closely with management on daily accounting functions and financial reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all financial information.
Qualifications
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is required.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks is required.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus.
- Experience working in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
- College degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential financial information.

Compensation & Benefits
