Journey to Wellness is a leading substance abuse treatment facility committed to supporting individuals on their path to recovery. We are currently expanding our services to develop a dedicated adolescent-focused program, and we’re seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to support this important initiative.

Position Overview

We are looking for a NJ-licensed psychiatrist who specializes in adolescent mental health to provide psychiatric assessments and consultations for our new program. This is a part-time, flexible role with the option to work remotely or on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for adolescent clients.
• Collaborate with our clinical team to develop and support individualized treatment plans.
• Provide recommendations for medication management (as needed).
• Offer consultation support to therapists and addiction specialists working with adolescent clients.
• Maintain proper documentation in compliance with clinical and legal

Requirements

• Must be a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist with specialization in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Active and unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
• Experience working with adolescents with substance use or co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Ability to conduct assessments via telehealth and/or in-person.
• Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills.
• ASAM certified
