Part-Time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents (typically ages 4-26) in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving mental health outcomes for young patients and comfortable working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of children and adolescents.
  • Diagnose and manage a range of mental health conditions including ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, and mood disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy recommendations.
  • Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, school personnel, and family members.
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and Georgia state regulations.
  • Participate in case conferences, clinical supervision, and team meetings.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Qualifications:

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completed residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Valid and unrestricted Georgia medical license or eligibility to obtain.
  • DEA license (with controlled substances registration for Georgia).
  • Experience working with diverse populations of children and adolescents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

Prior experience in outpatient, school-based, or community mental health settings.
  • Familiarity with telepsychiatry platforms and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Bilingual candidates (especially Spanish-speaking) are encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule:

Flexible part-time hours (e.g., 12–20 hours/week).
  • Afternoon availability is required; some evening or weekend hours may be offered depending on patient demand
