Psychiatrist

PsychPlus is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our growing inpatient team in Tampa, FL. We offer excellent pay, flexibility, and the opportunity to work within a large and supportive network of providers.

Position Details

• Location: Tampa, FL
• Schedule: Preferred schedule is Monday–Friday for 3 weeks, and 2 weeks including weekends
• Flexibility: We cater to our psychiatrists and are happy to negotiate
• Compensation: $350,000
• Employment Type: W2 or 1099 available
• Support: Mid-level practitioners manage follow-up visits, allowing psychiatrists to focus on intakes, discharges, and higher-level care

Responsibilities

• Conduct new patient intakes and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
• Manage patient discharges with safe and effective care planning
• Provide medication management and psychiatric treatment as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team (therapists, nurses, physicians, support staff)
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with standards
• Participate in treatment planning and case reviews

Requirements

• MD or DO with completion of Psychiatry residency
• Active Florida medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Team-oriented with a commitment to patient-centered care
