Part-Time College Babysitter

We are seeking a reliable and proactive college student for a babysitting role in the Domain area of Austin, TX. This position involves caring for a 6-year-old child with no special needs. The role requires a dependable individual who can manage responsibilities independently, particularly when the parent is traveling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety and well-being of the child during scheduled hours
• Engage in play and age-appropriate activities
• Assist with home prep and maintenance, including stocking groceries and ensuring the home is ready for the parent's return
• Run local errands and coordinate with housekeeping services
• Care for the family dog, administering daily medication and maintaining his routine
• Provide house and pet sitting during travel periods, ensuring reliability with tasks
  
  

Schedule & Location:

• Start Date: Wed, Mar 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM
• End Date: Sun, May 31, 2026, at 12:00 AM
• Approximately 15-20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling around your classes
• Primarily located in The Domain area; being local is preferred
• Position paused June 1 - October 1, potential for fall resumption
  
  

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled at UT Austin, ACC, or a local university
• LGBTQ+ friendly and respectful of diverse households
• Must have reliable transportation and pass a background check
• Preference for availability during university breaks, excluding Christmas/New Year's
  
  

Compensation:

• $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
• Overnight pet sitting compensation: $60.00 - $75.00 per night
